There are countless benefits to massage therapy treatment. It aids in muscle recovery and helps to resolve delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) associated with exercise and exertion. It decreases tension accumulation in the tissue, be it postural in nature or the manifestation of mental and emotional stress. Massage works to down regulate hyperactivation of the sympathetic nervous system (SNS), which is our fight, flight or freeze mechanism. Excellent for sprains, strains and myofascial trigger point release, massage can have a positive impact on the available range of motion in your joints. By releasing tissue restriction, you are freeing your musculoskeletal system of unnecessary resistance. Our massage therapists work with clients to customize your experience and ensure your receive the safest and most effective treatment for you.

Traditional Chinese Medicine acupuncture involves the shallow insertion of extremely fine needles (smaller than a strand of human hair) at specific points along energetic meridians. These points activate the body’s natural healing processes to alleviate blockages and stimulate the vital energy (Qi) we all possess. Acupuncture points each have their own functionality to treat the physical, mental and emotional body. You don’t need to be unwell or in pain to seek acupuncture. It excels as a preventative measure to support overall health. Although symptoms often bring patients to seek treatment, the treatment itself works to determine the root cause of unrest in the body.

PLEASE NOTE: Adam’s treatments are presently heavily focused on therapeutic osteopathic techniques. He is a osteopathic student nearing completion of his training. He currently bills private insurance under his designation of massage therapy, but will also be able to do so under osteopathy upon graduation.
Adam’s interest in manual therapy began after a serious back injury he sustained as a result of a fall down a flight of stairs. Numerous doctors helped mediate pain with medication but this still left him having to walk with a cane at the age of 19. It was at this time that he was recommended to so see an Osteopath. After a couple sessions he regained the ability to stand and walk without aid, and had a substantial reduction in pain.
Extremely fascinated with the process that helped regain his mobility, Adam decided to enroll into the Massage Therapy program offered at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in Halifax. Graduating with a with honours in 2016, Adam then began his professional career as a massage therapist working with clients to promote health and rehabilitation.
Immediately after graduating the Massage Therapy program he enrolled in the five year osteopathy program offered through the College D’Études Ostéopathiques. This program offers an in depth look into the visceral, musculoskeletal and craniosacral systems with the goal of treatment being the discovery of root cause of pain rather than treating the presenting symptoms. Adam is due to graduate in 2022.
Over the past five years, Adam has been developing a therapeutically focused approach to treatment by blending a variety of osteopathic techniques into his current massage practice. He loves working with clients in acute pain or those suffering from more chronic conditions like migraines, digestive problems, repetitive use injuries and postural problems.
Adam is a member of good standing of the Massage Therapists and Wholistic Practitioners Association of the Maritimes.

Murat is a Canadian College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine graduate who also holds a diploma in the physiotherapy assistance program from Nova Scotia Community College. His journey to cure and understand more about himself started a decade ago life coaching and then teaching yoga. Murat later combined those two skills by conducting hikes as part of a therapeutic program for high-profile company executives, most of whom were his acquaintances from his previous career in finance. Discovering medicinal plants during those hikes was a conduit to the next phase of his journey to study clinical herbology in Boulder, Colorado, which was inevitably followed by intense studies in Oriental Medicine.
Acupuncture, moxibustion, fire cupping, gua sha, Tui Na massage therapy, dietary medicine, emotional awareness, and promotion of easy-to-fix lifestyle changes are all within the scope of Murat’s practice as a holistic medicine practitioner. He is also a master of Qi Gong and promotes practical daily routines to address mental and physical health, and ensure quality aging.
Murat’s mission is to advocate for and practice road-tested Oriental Medicine and revive what is forgotten. “Educate, support, and let go” is his motto which only intensifies his passion for educating his patients about their holistic wellness to build a better understanding of the aspects of both individual and collective healing.
Murat is an avid hiker, an outdoor swimmer, and an enthusiastic gardener. He considers himself a lifelong student of human sciences.
